Attorney Profile

Born in Chicago Illinois, Alan Beard joined the military upon graduation from high school, and served in the U.S. Army for 4 years in Honolulu, Hawaii. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, Mr. Beard attended Southern Illinois University, where he majored in Political Science, and graduated with honors. He received his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1986 and moved to Tennessee where his parents were retired, and was immediately admitted to the Tennessee Bar that same year.
 

Mr. Beard was commissioned with the U.S. Army in early 1987 and served as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC) at the 101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell, KY, until early 1990, when he entered civilian practice in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Beard continued to practice criminal defense and all areas of family law.
 

Mr. Beard moved to Chattanooga in early 1993, where he is well-known for his aggressive representation, as well as upholding the highest ethical standards. Despite a rigorous trial practice, he has maintained a spotless ethical record for 36 years and provides conscientious, diligent advocacy for each and every client.
 

Mr. Beard has extensive experience in conducting criminal jury trials and a strong history of practice in the areas of criminal law, adoption, and divorce.
